What’s in my current makeup collection?
Less than 30 items!
As you know I am all about simplifying the life during this last week of January. One of the days, I focused on a collection of items and I chose to go through my makeup. I absolutely love trying and collecting beauty+skincare products, yet since have sensitive skin, I don’t wear makeup as often as I used to. These past two years I have been slowly letting certain items go and finding products that work better for me. A few days ago on Instagram, I asked if my friends wanted to see what was left of my makeup collection so here is what has made the cut.
Everything fits in these four drawers. Please note: This is a work in progress.
I know I can simplify even more!
DiorSkin Nude: is perfect for a daytime look. I only need on little pump and set with powder, but you could even wear this alone. It has SPF 15 and looks like skin.
NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint: I fell in love with this on day one. It leaves a very matte finish yet it doesn’t dry my skin out. Since it is winter time and my skin gets dry, I make sure to mix the Farsali Unicorn Essence with this and set with powder. SPF 30. I use this when I’m going out, it looks so good in photos!
Farsali Unicorn Essence: I love using this product because I can use this alone as a moisturizer or as a base with my foundation.
e.l.f. Duo Concealer is very lightweight and the Maybelline Face Studio Master Conceal is very heavy. I don’t use concealer very often so I could probably let these go, however I’d like to find a good replacement first. ( Feel free to send me your concealer recommendations!)
Neutrogena Shine Control: is my current setting powder. I was using a NYX translucent powder until it got empty. This powder uses rice protein, leaves a nice soft finish and takes shine away.
Benefit Get The Pretty Started: I got this on sale at Sephora. I like how the highlighter isn’t glitter but soft. It’s creamy, yet applies like a powder.
MAC Selena : My friend gifted me this on my birthday. It is my favorite bronzer/blush combo. Sadly, it’s a limited edition product so I try to use it sparingly.
PIXI Highlight : I recently purchased this from Target since it was on clearance. The highlighter isn’t glittery and I can use these colors as a soft eye shadow during the spring/summer time.
HUDA Lashes : These lashes look so good & the glue that comes with them is the best. I use #16 and #7.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Pomade: I didn’t think I would like this product as much as I do. It’s long lasting, defitety fills your brows and a little product goes a very long way. Color I use: Ash Brown
Diorliner: This liquid liner is easy to use and control when I am trying to achieve very fine lines or a straight line on the lash line.
Black eyeliner by PIXI: I have always had bad luck finding the right eyeliner. Usually they would be really hard and would make my eyes water to apply OR they wouldn’t be pigmented enough. This eyeliner is soooo pigmented and soft. I love it. It’s so long lasting and great to blend for a smoky look.
Dior Lip Scrub : I didn’t think this product would work, but it keeps my lips soft and it has a beautiful pink tint.
MAC Selena : My friend gave this to me for my birthday and it’s a beautiful every day color. I love how creamy this lipstick is, since it’s a limited edition, I use it sparingly.
HUDA Liquid Matte: These two colors are my go to lip colors. Everyone should have a red lipstick in their collection and this one is my fave. I love how they are matte yet not drying.
HUDA Lip Contour: I don’t use these very often, but they are great quality lip liners.
